Replacing your old scratched Rudy Lenses with the Rudy Project Replacement Lens Guarantee

The RLG covers all lens damage (e.g., scratching) from use or activity on all RP Optic Lenses made by Rudy Project and on products that are in the current year’s Product Catalog. RX or prescription lenses are not covered.  Through Rudy Project® North America’s Replacement Lens Guarantee (RLG), consumers can opt to replace scratched lenses for a nominal processing fee ($19.95) directly through Rudy Project North America. You have to send them your old lenses qualify for the Replacement Lens Guarantee. To expedite your order tell them the name and/or model number of the sunglasses. Computer Vision Syndrome Highlighted in The Wall Street Journal

As our population ages and we all spend more time staring at computers, cell phones and the like, computer vision syndrome becomes more of a problem.  In today’s lifestyle section of The Wall Street Journal there is a good article on computer vision syndrome entitled Becoming a Squinter Nation.  We have covered CVS on The Eye Doc Blog as well. Keratoconus – New Options for Patients

Due to the fact that one of the specialties at Total Eye Care is keratoconus we see many patients with this condition.  We recently updated our patient information on keratoconus page to reflect some of the new technologies available to our patients such as;

  • Mini scleral lenses, which provide excellent vision like that of traditionally fit gas permeable lenses, however with markedly improved comfort.
  • Corneal collagen cross linking, though not yet FDA approved, is a new technology that I expect will be of a tremendous benefit to our patients.

Back to School Means Eye Exam Time for Children and Families

Total Eye Care and Optos partner in using scanning laser technology for children’s back to school eye exams.

COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS – August 1, 2010 – In conjunction with Back to School time, Dr. Richard Driscoll and Dr. Alycia Green, eye doctors at Total Eye Care in Keller and Colleyville, are working with Optos to launch a program aimed at educating parents about the importance of regular eye examinations for children.
