If a shooter is hyperopic abd presbyopic he can use a pinhole to improce his vision enabling him to see his near and distant points clearer and without refocusing….why does this work?

According to my reading, Pinhole Glasses are for people suffering from Myopia, Presbyopia, Hyperopia, Cataracts and Astigmatism who feel that prescription glasses are not doing the best for them. I have to admit that the first time Pinhole glasses were introduced to me, I was unconvinced. I am thankful that I have tried it.
